A Hint of Autumn

Monday afternoon. The first "bright" color I've seen in the area. There's still hope for a colorful fall after all.

  1. Pretty! I wish we could see some of these colors up here in Detroit.

  2. Thank you, Jasia.

A cousin in Coleman, Michigan (Midland county, just where you'd expect to find it - in the middle of Michigan, a "few" miles north of Detroit) says they have had color up there for about 3 weeks but most of their trees have now lost their leaves. They went from cool to really hot to cool and wet. That's the same thing happening here - a week ago it was cool here, the last couple of day warm and sunny. Today it's cooler and raining. Maybe the rain and coolness will help the colors.
